Dr. Md. Yousuf Ali

 
Dr. Taibur Rahman

Dr. Md. Yousuf Ali was born in the year 1955 in a respectable Muslim family of Mithapukur Upazella of Rangpur District. He passed matriculation just before liberation war in the year 1970. He passed HSC examination under Rajshahi board and then got admitted in Rajshahi Medical College and got MBBS degree. He was secretary general of Rajshahi Medical College Chhatra Sangsad. During service life Dr. Yousuf worked mostly in different health complexes and district hospital s of greater Rangpur and Dinajpur District. He also worked as assistant professor, senior consultant and associate professor of surgery in Dinajpur Medical College.

He was popular teacher among the students. He along with few other friends did tremendous job to establish a new hospital and academic buildings of Dinajpur Medical College.

On June 19, 2010 early in the morning he was travelling to attend a scientific seminar scheduled to be organized by Society of Surgeons of Bangladesh at Rajshahi Medical College premises. A tragic road accident turned to an end of this brilliant professional.   Doctors lost one of their great friend, nation lost a promising surgeon, students lost their beloved teacher. He left behind his wife, one son and one beloved daughter who was in 2nd professional MBBS course in Rangpur Medical College. His jolly behave and friendly attitude will never end from the heart of his friends, family and colleagues. Teachers of Dinajpur Medical College will never forget his contribution in the academic fields. For his memorial boys' hostel of Dinajpur Medical College has been named according to his name as "Dr. Yousuf Ali Chhatrabas" and one of operation theatre of Dinajpur Medical College Hospital named as "Dr. Yousuf Ali OT Complex".

After passing HSC from Rajshahi board he got admitted in Rangpur Medical College and passed MBBS in 1977. During service life Dr. Taibur Rahman worked mostly in different health complexes and district hospitals of greater Rangpur and Dinajpur District. He also worked as assistant professor, senior consultant and associate professor of Dinajpur Medical College. He was a popular teacher among the medical students.

He as very pious in his personal life. He established a lot of mosques and madrasas in his locality. Dr. Taibur Rahman left behind his wife gynecologist Dr. Ayesha Akhter Banu and two daughters. Younger daughter was in HSC course during his departure. Latter she admitted in MBBS course.

His polite and jolly behave, and friendly attitude will never end from the heart of his friends, family, colleagues and people. Teachers of Dinajpur Medical College will never forget his contribution in academic fields. Lady's hostel of Dinajpur Medical College has been dedicated to his name as "Dr. Taibur Rahman Lady's Hostel" and one of operation theatre of Dinajpur Medical College Hospital named as "Dr. Taibur Rahman OT Complex".
